Montreal designer Caroline Bouffard discusses how she transformed her small family home into a bright and airy space. See what updates she made to modernize the century home.
Caroline focused on enlarging her home by matching the floors to the walls in a bright white. A minimalist kitchen that takes center stage is surrounded by open-concept rooms. The living room was updated with a woodburning fireplace, and trim was installed in the upstairs bathroom. An antique piano that once belonged to her husband’s family is decked with modern art pieces, adding character to the black-and-white interior.

That was robotic speech if I ever heard it…
You ave a luvly ouse..😍😍
Nice! 😀
Where is that accent from?
The living room area is pretty but the other spaces didn’t wow me.
[Yawn] It takes zero talent to create yet another black & white interior. There are hundreds of thousands of them online you can copy and paste. I think I'm gonna puke.
Is every home in Canada painted and furnished white?
Wow what a great house! Lucky duck!
Her voice sounds automated! 😂
I love it! I'm not really a fun of all white concepts but this one is an exemption.

I'd would never think I would like a white floor with white walls! really opens up the space!
Personal design is just that. Happy for you that you're happy with the results!
Gorgeous. =) Especially the bedroom.
Tiny chandeliers…you might as well not have any since there is so much white already to light it up! Lol
I love the same color walls and floors, it seems so open. Beautiful home.
I like it but the handle on the refrigerator is on the wrong side which annoys me.
I like the after exterior of the house and only like the before interior of the home. Too much black and white which it looks so uninviting and friendly.
Beautiful home and very well done!
Beautiful result !! You are a very talented woman!
