On http://houseandhome.com/tv, sleek Scandinavian design may not sound like it lends itself to family living, but this home proves otherwise. John Baker and Juli Daoust Baker of Mjolk share their bright and airy city family home. See inside the carefully curated space that’s influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design.
The couple’s love for natural light and raw material is evident in every room of the two-storey house, which is located right above their store. Unfinished oak, sandstone and untreated leather are used throughout. These natural materials will develop a patina over time. “It will look more beautiful because we’ll see ourselves in it,” says John. The kitchen features open shelves that keep cooking essentials easy to reach, while a unique top-floor courtyard provides the perfect place for the children play.

Soft and sweet
Here because Diggy Simmons said he wants a wife and home filled with “Scandinavian furniture “🙂🙃
A truly beautiful home.
it just irritates me that she looks like 10yrs older than him 😳
❤️❤️❤️ The color scheme
I love Japandi!
those kind of ppl makes me really happy to be an architect (i;m not that genius, but it gives me hope 😀 )
Amazing
I love the cultures of both Scandinavia and Japan and love how you have married them in your home. You have a beautiful home which will only get more beautiful with age 😍
the most beautiful home I ever seen!
We've done a piece on scandi interiors and your home here – https://www.stitched.co.uk/scandinavian-interiors
Beautiful I love everything but leather. I’m vegan so I don’t use that.beautiful spaces
I always wonder when doors are opened up for a period of time if flies and other bugs enter the house.
This is my perfect interior design. Beautiful, organic, sleek and family-friendly. Maybe one day I can achieve that…
This is definitely what my dream home looks like
Love the swivel idea on the copper chandelier. Genius. Your home is phenomenal. Where is this house located?
Love it. Love all that natural light as well.
Muito linda casa maravilhosa.
Love your house. It seems more Japanese to me than Scandinavian but minus that severe aesthethic that Japanese interiors usual have, which to me is a plus.
What a lovely couple! I really enjoyed this walk through of their home.
Lovely home
Amazing.
The cat 😍 🐈 thgh 😊
Love every part of their house
Omg, I’m in love! 😱 The home furnishings and stylings look like they cost a million bucks literally — not counting the cost of the actual property! 😃🙏🤷🏽♀️💚
Oh wow. I was the 2 thousandth person to like this. That was crazy to see it change to "2k".
This is beautiful, but I'd like to say that this is more Japanese then Scandinavian.
What a beautiful home, love everything about it
Perfect combination! Scandi and Japanese! Love!
Beautiful.
Is it just me or He looks like Sheldon from the bing bang theory.
Maybe he is the "sheldon" of interior design

So breathtaking. My favorite Scandi home so far.
Beautiful home I love it,how they use the terrace in winter time Exelente, congrats.
I already love this home from Kinfolk Home book, but now I'm seeing it in video, makes me fall all over again. Simple with respect to patina and life. <3
Absolute stunning!!! This is my dream home
I love their home and aesthetic so much! So jealous!
Absolutely stunning.
i like how they didnt give credit to a lot of the African elements in their home, such as the mudcloth panel on the walls, mudcloth pillows, African sculptures (mask), and weaved baskets, or even if they knew it was from African, which is often overlooked in alot of European designs and art.
Amazingly beautiful ! I love everything unfinished !
Love it!
Wow!
Ah! A dream! 🙂 Loved the simplicity! 🙂
Beautiful home, I wish some of the pieces in their store were more affordable!
So so beautiful!
