See how designer Jackie Glass transformed a 450-square-foot trailer into a stylish micro-home to live in during her own home renovations. Get her expert tips for making the most of a small space!
To give the basic trailer interior personality, Jackie began by painting the brown wooden kitchen cabinets a striking off-black hue, and the counter white for contrast. She swapped out the backsplash and added LED lights to add brightness. The living area comfortably seats seven and boasts a fireplace and TV set. The bedroom is kept white and airy with soft fabrics and the bathroom, while small, is functional thanks to added surface space. Jackie created a temporary patio for hosting family and friends, complete with ample seating and a pizza oven.

Were do u store ypur outside patio furniture.
The full size refrigerator already installed was a huge win! Well done Jackie!
I like everything except would have put all stainless steel appliances… :o)
I love it! I just wish there were "how to" instructions since I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to decorating or renovating…
Forest River makes Salem trailers, anyone know the model name/number for this particular floor plan?
wow!
Marvellous job, I do a lot of Reno's, only 1 trailer Reno though. I loved how it turned out. I find even the newer trailers are so dark, paint the cabinets white , in fact paint it all out, brighten it up and viola, beautiful!
NICE JOB
I keep coming back to view this video. What you have done is just amazing. I am looking for a mobile home in Florida. It will be a lot bigger that 450SF but I definitely will use some of your ideas for it.
AMAZING!
The trailer is beautiful, who needs the big house! She should sell the house and just buy land to put her beautiful trailer on.
It was very nicely done. But… how realistic is it really? She kept mentioning IKEA which in itself means big dollars. That front yard area, I'll guarantee you, is well over $15,000 dollars. Pretty impractical for a temporary home
I bet she pays someone to come empty her black water tank 😂 this is absolutely absurd.
Too much negativity, give the woman some respect pls, some of us actually watch for inspiration. Anyway she is a designer , she can work magic on a strict budget becos she knows where to buy , moreover the trailer becomes an investment that can be resold later on, stop the poverty mentality🤨
Gorgeous renovation! Can you share with us how you painted the counter tops and what type of paint. I tried this once and it was a total fail.
Can’t get enough of watching this episode, I watch it every time it comes up on my feed. Wish I could I want this for myself
Great job! A little arrogant!
Wow, beautiful! She has style and MONEY Hunny!
Her trailer is bigger than my house
What was the main color throughout ?? Chantilly in the bedroom but the living area?
This would be nice as a guesthouse when u have visitors..
Jackie what model and make is this trailer? And How much would you charge to do mine? 🙂
When I paint to renovate, I'm going to move out too and then go to IKEA and just buy everything they have on hand and then see if I can handle the stress of it all. Nice job though, for real.
I ved what u did 😍😍
mister and harzburg – all while the third property was just beginning renovation the tent property was just upgraded to a yurt then began the laborious task of finding a fifth property possibly the most challenging aspect of the first properties renovation
Lovely
guys, does anyone know the model # of this trailer, i can see it is Salem (which i think is made by Forest River… thanks
Our home flooded a few years ago and while we waited for the demo and reconstruction we had to live in a travel trailer. It wasn’t that nice lol but after almost a year of daily use it’s pretty scuffed up. I’m thinking it might be good to fix it up and use as a guest house/office space and might have to use some ideas from this video. We will be paying for it for years so might as well get some use out of it! I do love the color of the kitchen cabinets, I’m too chicken to do something like that in the house but maybe it would be fun in the trailer ☺️
Must be nice, to buy whatever you want.
All it takes is tons of money and you can do anything you want
I would live in the rv full time .you did amazingly good job love what u did?😁😁😁😁
When you have money… Doing a renovation to wait for a renovation to finish. Beautiful work!
This is gorgeous, how inspiring. Dream trailer for sure.
Really incredible !!
As a designer myself, I rarely find another designer's finished product completely perfect (I'm sure you know what I mean). And often I have to spin it a little to accommodate my own taste and preferences. With what you had to work with… The results are utterly impressive and I wouldn't change a thing! Well except maybe changing to a stainless steel fridge. But you were being sensible where i'd get in budget trouble, LOL. But the touches and zhuzhing were so aesthetically satisfying. Love, love, love the ladder behind the toilet! Everything….BAM! You are awesome!
Absolutely blown away by this renovation! Would love to travel in a space like this.
I am going to argue a different point. While waiting for work on the house she couldn't do, she likely used her materials discount most pro designers have through one collective or another to more than double her investment in the trailer so she could sell it to (maybe the beneficiary of a prearranged deal and to their taste) glamping fans, a performer for touring or a set respite or temporary home away from home or even some other mix or just members of her target designer client base.
There is so much negativity I wonder what drives people to choose to live well and be unhappy. I am well taken care of and have more than what we need, but 10 years ago, when I was an active 40-year old entrepreneur type, about to send the youngest off to college allowing me to pursue . . . . . .
we didn't expect I would become bedbound by 47 and facing a potentially life threatening condition before turning 50 (exactly 4 1/2 weeks from today). So yes, happiness is a choice. Don't whine to me otherwise. Life can be rough, but that can become a puzzle to me solved. Don't assume that working hard is enough to guarantee sucess. It's not true today and never has been before. Barriers and roadblocks come in many shapes and while some expect them and plan ahead due to historical experiences, Others expect everything will be as easy as it has always has, but find out too late this is never true and rather than get creative, they choose to dwell in that temporary misery until it's permanent.
Grow up, see what really matters and choose joy.
AWESOME JOB… Just Beautiful !!!
Wish someone could make this area over

We can paint RV wallpaper, fake wood cabinets and counters?
Wow! If I could do this on a budget to my trailer
She must have a lot of money to throw away. I love the way she remodeled the trailer though.
Does anyone know what make and model trailer this is?
I guess she is roughing it . 😕What the rich have to endure. 😏
What model Salem is this?
