This video answered a lot of my questions. I want to hire an interior designer, but it's for a rental apartment. I have an idea of how I want my apartment decorated. I know the furniture I want and the color palette. The reason I want an interior designer is to help me make sure all of my ideas flow and make sense. I also want someone to execute all of the decor like on those HGTV shows where the homeowner walks in blindfolded and then the reveal happens. What would you say is a good budget for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1,250 sq ft rental unit? (U.S. dollars)
Probably the pricing that you outlined is in line with the carriage trade
Typical overpriced designer for the 1% . Typically you get ripped off when you allow them to select and buy the furniture. Don’t believe the 20% discount lie.15 to 20% fee for the whole project is outrageous
Very informative thanks 🌹
Amazing video with great information! I'm an Architecture student from Egypt with a minor in Interior design. I'm about to graduate next semester. I find it very hard to know how much is the cost for design services. I really like the percentage of the total cost of the project. This seems much fair than just say per sq. foot or per hour, because some designs are very challenging with unique demands from clients and takes much time to design and draft while others can be pretty basic and straight forward.
Btw, in Egypt most Architects work as interior designers for either residential and/or cafés, restaurants because that's where the most money is at with great demands compared to just architecture designs. I really wish people would appreciate more good designs and feel the need to hire good architects and interior designers, because that will make any space feels 10 times better.
I loved that bathroom at 2:58, très chic! :')
Great video as usual by Creating Contrast Designs!
