Take a peek inside designer and shop owner Michele Varian‘s eclectic loft in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. See how she created a home for her and husband Brad Roberts of the Canadian band, Crash Test Dummies, that reflects both of their artistic personalities.
The 1890s-era loft is filled with character and one-of-a-kind finds, many of them found on the couple’s extensive travels. The front of the loft, where they’ve set up their home offices, features large windows that look out onto Broadway and flood natural light into the space. The decor in the home is colorful, eclectic and layered with flea-market finds and vintage pieces in every corner. Exposed brick walls, patterned wallpaper and boho textiles bring energy to the space.

God what is wrong with the people leaving hate comments just because it’s something unique and different at least it’s not another boring white and grey colour palette like every other YouTube video, her style actually has personality, depth and dimension
looks like a decoupage gift shop
I think this home is perfectly imperfect,I ADORE it TOTALLY !!! And I agree with you when you said" we don't have to be like everyone else"!! That's why I'm always on the look out for something 'different ' at flea markets. New appears very boring to me.
The dusting the horror 😱
Looks really dusty
I love this home so much. So full of objects from their travels and oh the creativity! They see life differently and I applaud them for finding solutions for things they need that aren’t the status quo -eg the room dividers made from light catchers. I would much rather go to their home for a drink than an all too white on gray everyday home. Give me a room lady I’m moving in! 🔑 😉
Je trouve que c est sale et mal décoré.Me semble avoir oublié de faire le ménage depuis longtemps.
Good to see vegemite in your pantry……the secret to vegemite is LESS IS MORE….. try it with crushed walnuts on a sandwich….😅😅😅
No, not interested in your life. Wanted interior decor.
You are so right. I’m sick of all this minimalist way to live. You can still be organised and live with the things you love. X
annoying "purrrr" voice she has, I like the apartement though
Avant-dreck.
What I like most about this is everything looks like it had a previous life.some history to it, a story. we live in such a throwaway society. What’s this obsession with new and untouched.
I love eclectic: deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.
"universities offering an eclectic mix of courses"
synonyms: wide-ranging, wide, broad, broad-ranging, broad-based, extensive, comprehensive, encyclopedic, general, universal, varied, diverse, diversified, catholic, liberal, cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, all-embracing, non-exclusive, inclusive, indiscriminate, many-sided, multifaceted, multifarious, heterogeneous, miscellaneous, assorted.
I'd hate to have to pack all that stuff if I had to move. It's a little to much for my liking, it kinda reminds me of hoarders but organized.
Great to see people in the States eating Vegemite.
Hey do people talk this way on purpose?
LOVE love love this space! So interesting and unique.
oh god this is terrible. she seems very sweet, but for one thing, the space is way too busy and watching this almost gave me hives. the very thought of how much dust that place collects just makes my skin crawl. no thanks.
I would love to be a guest at their house, but I wouldn't like to live in an interior designed like this
I love the baby head next to the skull, very philosophical, we are little and cute then bone yard cute.
Is a shop, not a home. Too cramped, is like you are browsing in a store.
Dont like dynamic daaaamn
Dynamic hoarder dammmmn dont try
My skin is literally crawling at this apartment, it looks like a junk shop! Sorry, not into the dusty apothecary look.
I love the space it's exactly prefect !
did I see a double bass? Anyone of you play this awesome instrument?
Anxiety…too much going on 🙈
I like the floor lamp
Ya'll are crazy and it's amazing!
LOVE
This is so me!! I could live here–please adopt me!!!
I luv your space
What fun! Why can’t we see more homes like this? 😄
Thank you!!!!
Nice stuff, but too much. Less is more and it is cluttered. I would get rid of at least half of it. A bunch of old dirty baskets, glasses, broken suitcases and stuffed dead animals. All the that dust and cleaning. That way all the really unique things would stand out .
SHEAR HEAVEN!
