Her deep sigh when they got to the tools 😂
Poor guy was so nervous with his awkward hands lol
Interior designer: forget the creativity of a chalkboard wall, if you pushed the couch against the wall, you'd have more space
Not good just ok.
The front legs of the couch (at the least) need to sit on the rug. The coffee table is super cool but too small. The chair at the end is too big in comparison to the couch!! I love the vibe of the room overall though!
The awkwardness in this video is distracting me lol
Honestly there wasn’t much I needed to do in this case haha your apartment is fantastic ray! xx
Did she NOT understand WHY he did NOT want the couch up against the wall???? And having the couch against the wall is SO conventional. Boring. Instead she should have worked to being his style into a cohesive whole. He has a lot of dead space and no living things like plants or even fish or moving water. Thumbs down for me.
I'd love to see nifty do a bedroom or living room in the projects…perhaps in the Bronx (above the "piano district")…hmmm
The tips were useful but the fact there wasn't a proper before and after, he just moved the sofa back, was very underwhelming. Keep the interior designer, give her a budget.
She’s the girl from the Jubilee video with her bf where they talked about how they fell in love
This video was so awkward… It looks like it's not the final copy either.
Bethany is actually super awesome and sweet, I watch nearly all of her daily vlogs and from what I can tell, she has a really great eye for interior spaces (her home is beautiful) and she is so genuine and goofy and awkward in the best way. So I feel so terrible reading the comments that are judgmental of her, which, fine–you have the right to make judgments based off of this video–but would like to pitch in my ten cents in support of her and remind people that if they must comment, comment on the contents of the video, not the person.
She’s beautiful, very likable character honestly.
…but she's an interior decorator not an interior designer?
i found this pointless – she could have been great but he really liked his set up & didn't seem to want to make changes. Did we need a video to see this?
In response to "Throw your old boxes away!" I don't do that for big ticket things like a desktop computer (I'm a gamer), consoles and flat screen (over 38") TVs because they are hard to find protection for when moving. However, for smaller things like headphones, cameras, kitchen appliances only keep the boxes until the store return or warranty have run out. And a small tip I use is to keep the receipt in the box so you don't misplace it or toss it.
His apartment O_O So clean! I luv it!
Working in design I've never heard a designer suggest moving something closer to a wall, interesting
Can we just talk about how he has Steven’s Ukulele and Marcelines Guitar
step one: Have an already perfectly decorated and high end apartment.
I think the issue with the space is that there's a lot of straight linear things and there are not a lot of organic elements to break up all the lines, even the way Ray display his items (bottles, weapons) are too aligned and straight. I would encourage arranging things on the shelf a little whimsically (just moving the stack of books off to the side at 5:00 made it so much better). Bring in plants that can soften and complements the industrial line of the shelf
Don't be one of those losers who labels everything….
it's really weird that he talked to the camera the entire time.. even when responding and thanking her.
She wasn’t all that helpful for this client. He needs a professional organizer; not an interior designer.
Not helpful, you don't need interior designer for this! 🙄
This union was a bit awkward
To be fair, his space looks really good and it has a masculine feel. There isnt alot she needs to do.
Boring concept 🤪
It bothered me that they barely looked each other in the eye when they spoke.
I’m moving in a month and I’m not sure if I’ll be in an apartment or a house or a duplex, I have no clue what kind of space I’ll be working in, so I’m appreciating the multiple interior design videos.
If you really want to keep those toolboxes in that exact space, I would turn the toolbox shelf 45 degrees towards the room to really hide the stuff behind the boxes. Then I would try to hide the remainder wood either behind the couch or behind the shelf.
I think long term, you need a credenza or something close to the front door to hide all of those items. It doesn't make sense to put tools in a hangout area and they aren't too aesthetically pleasing.
The secret for cool apartments is not to have so many things!!!!
I ship it
Regulators should forbid a fan on such a low ceiling.
This was honestly awful, she doesn't know what she's talking about.
It seems like he wanted organization help. That's a whole different job.
I don't like when couches are pushed up against a wall. I like that he pulled his couch away from the wall.
This place looks fine, and not even realistic
